ACT Hub Learning Program 2024

Ever wondered what Drama School was like? Aspire to apply for drama schools or just want to hone your skills and work on developing an actor’s toolkit and process? Then the ACT Hub Drama School Bootcamp is for you!

Tutored by Karen Vickery, a NIDA graduate and teacher at NIDA for 14 years, having tutored students who have gone on to study at NIDA, VCA, WAAPA and QUT, as well as LAMDA and Central in the UK.

Over this three day program you’ll work on voice, physicality, and text focussing on developing a strong audition monologue. Each day is structured as at drama school – Voice Class, followed by Movement Class with a lunch break before we undertake Acting Class and work on our audition pieces.

For participants 15+
If only doing one day of program, it must be Monday 8 July.

(Participants are asked to bring a monologue they wish to work on to the workshop – contemporary or classical. A good place to look are the lists published by drama schools listed above – from past years is fine or look for the current lists for 2024 Auditions. The current list for NIDA are out now, at nida.edu.au. For older participants a contemporary or classical monologue from a play you know and love would be perfect.)
