Rob Drennan (he/him)
Rob is a native of North Carolina and an educator at Trinity, where he teaches Drama, English, and Humanities. He has been acting in Canberra since 2020, where he played multiple characters in Canberra REP’s production of The Grapes of Wrath, notably “the man going back” and Fred Knowles. Rob also portrayed Doctor Baugh in REP’s production of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. His versatility was further showcased in his performance as US Secretary of Defense Robert McNamara in The Deadly Game of Marbles at Old Parliament House.
Rob just finished directing the musical Annie at The Q with Trinity’s Year 6 through Year 12 students – an inspiring experience that fuels his passion for the theatre. He looks forward to continuing his journey in the creative process of both performing and directing.
Rob is thrilled to step into the role of Sheriff Deon Gilbeau in August: Osage County and contribute to the raw, compelling dynamics of this complex and captivating story with an incredible team of creatives.
