Headshot for Nikki Fitzgerald

Nikki Fitzgerald (she/her)

About 15 years ago – through a chance meeting with the founders of Everyman Theatre Company – Nikki discovered that it was possible to combine the professional program management skills of her day job with her desire to hang around talented creative people.

She began ‘helping out’ back-stage during this company’s early productions, leading to Stage Managing musicals as well as straight (and not so straight) plays including: The Musical of Musicals (The Musical!), RENT, Home At The End, and eventually producing Company, The Normal Heart, The History Boys, Assassins, Queers, Hand to God, The Importance of Being Earnest, Holding The Man, Marry Me A Little, Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, and The Inheritance – to name a few!

In a classic case of “it’s not what you know…”, Nikki has also stage managed productions of Hairspray for Philo, Casanova for Rep, Next to Normal for Phoenix and Fame for Supa – and even did a little (back stage) singing for Mamma Mia and Priscilla for Free-Rain.

All that’s left is to direct, right?
[And if Tick, Tick… Boom! was good enough for Lin-Manuel Miranda’s directorial debut…]
