Michael Sparks

Michael Sparks OAM is a Canberra-based actor, designer, and director having worked with a myriad
of theatre companies in Canberra. He has also been seen on television in the series The Prime
Minister is Missing, Rake, and Total Control. His film work includes the feature Light Switch, as well
as short films Men of Ice, No Trouble Here and Animal.

Recent stage performances have included Gloucester in King Lear, Robin in The Children, Andy in
Love Letters, George in Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Big Daddy in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Jim Casy
in The Grapes of Wrath, Korzh in The Woman in the Window, Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird,
and Creature in Dr Frankenstein.

His stage designs include Marry Me a Little, Crimes of the Heart, Our Country’s Good, Hotel Sorrento, Company, Les Miserables, Switzerland, The Crucible, Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, and Macbeth.
