Lily Welling (she/her)

Lily Welling is a Canberra-based actor, director, and writer.

In 2022 Lily was accepted to and attended the prestigious London Academy of Dramatic Arts (LAMDA), which she returned from at the end of 2023 having “learned more than (she) could ever imagine.” Lily has also almost finished a Certificate IV in Acting and completed a few NIDA short courses. She plans to continue her studies believing that “education is key to any successful career”.

Lily has enjoyed many diverse roles both on stage and screen, whilst in London she played the lead role of Rosalind in Shakespeare’s As You Like It and this year has turned her hand to several meaty screen roles – her efforts contributing to individual acting accolades and Film Festival awards.

When Lily is not performing, she is sharing her knowledge, passion, and experience with Canberra’s youth, by directing shows and teaching drama for Radford College, Canberra Youth Theatre, Budding Entertainment and Child Players ACT.

She is thrilled to be working alongside the stellar cast of Mary Stuart.
