Lachlan Herring (he/him)

Lachlan Herring is a Melbourne and Canberra based actor, writer, and producer.

At the end of last year Lachlan graduated from the acclaimed 16th Street Actors Studio in Melbourne, in which he trained under the likes of Kim Krejus and Iain Sinclair. He has also trained at the Australian Institute of Performing Arts in 2020 and at the National Institute of Dramatic Art, part time, in 2021. Overall, he has a total of 13 years acting experience.

Some of Lachlan’s most notable performances include Garcin in Jean-Paul Sartre’s No Exit (Radford Theatre Company, 2022), Silvius in Shakespeare’s As You Like It (Lakespeare, 2022), and Macbeth in Shakespeare’s Macbeth (Radford Theare Company, 2022), for which he was awarded the Iain Sinclair Award for Excellence in Characterisation.

Lachlan is also set to star as Baby in Mojo by Jez Butterworth next year. This will be the debut production of his new Melbourne-based theatre company, Red Herring Theatre Co.
