Joshua James has been involved in performing arts since primary school, being a regular participant in Wakikirri. In high school, Joshua joined Canberra Youth Theatre and has performed in Dags (2022) and The Trials (2023) with them since. Joshua has been in various school productions such as Tess of the D’Urbervilles (2023), Caryl Churchill’s Love and Information (2024) and Afterlife (2024), and has contributed to several devised performances as a part of Canberra Theatre Centre’s ACT UP! (2022, 2023, 2024). Joshua has appeared in Legacies (2023), Happy Meals, Happy Kids (2024) and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2024) at The Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre. He has also played the role of Ralph in Canberra REP’s production of Lord of the Flies (2024).
