Auditions – Every Lovely Terrible Thing
10 March 2025 Be part of this contemporary queer Australian story – audition now!
In just it’s second production since premiering at Melbourne’s Theatre Works in 2024, Every Lovely Terrible Thing is a universal tale of love, courage and intergenerational trauma, boldly examining why families stay together – and what happens when they can’t.
Directed by Lachlan Houen, this production promises to be a campy, darkly comedic exploration of trauma and grief, and we are looking for six actors to bring it to life!
Auditions will be held on Monday 5, Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 May, with callbacks on Saturday 10 May. Please find the audition form below, and feel free to email us at enquiries@acthub.com.au if you have any questions or concerns. This production will operate on a profit-share basis.

Step inside the tumultuous world of the Colemans as they prepare to take on their greatest adversary yet: Themselves.
Widowed matriarch Jerica yearns to sell the decaying family home and break free from her past. Her conservative son Charles seeks to reinvent himself as a modern publican and councillor, while his wife Phoebe doesn’t know what she wants – except that it’s probably not Charles.
Meanwhile, underneath all their noses, reclusive grandchild Cooper forges an unlikely connection with Lachie, the enigmatic tradie tasked with repairing Jerica’s house.
Things are finally looking up for the Colemans until Jerica’s estranged, prickly daughter Brit returns home guarding a secret so big it threatens to blow up the entire family.
A universal tale of love, courage and intergenerational trauma, this darkly comedic new Australian play boldly examines why families stay together – and what happens when they can’t.
